ENHYPEN sells 1.87 million copies of Mini 5 in its first week...breaking its own debut record
ENHYPEN has broken its own sales record with its new album.
According to music sales aggregator Hanteo Chart on November 24 (KST), ENHYPEN's fifth mini album, "ORANGE BLOOD," sold 1,872,669 copies in its first week of release (November 17-23).
This greatly exceeds the initial sales of 1,326,251 copies of its predecessor, mini album 4, "DARK BLOOD," and shows the growth of N-HYPHEN, which has leaped to the next level in about half a year.
"ORANGE BLOOD" went straight to million-seller status, selling 1,383,292 copies on the day of release. This marks the fourth 'million seller' album for ENHYPHEN, following the first regular album 'DIMENSION : DILEMMA', the third mini album 'MANIFESTO : DAY 1', and the fourth mini album 'DARK BLOOD'.
"ORANGE BLOOD" also made its presence felt on global charts.
The album topped Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking (Nov. 20) and topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 16 countries/regions, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Egypt (as of 10 a.m. on Nov. 18). The title track "Sweet Venom" topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 12 countries/regions, including Thailand, Poland, and India.
"ORANGE BLOOD" tells the story of a boy who is happy and ecstatic to reconnect with his beloved, "you," and vows to do his best to make a "carpe diem" love at this moment. Through the album's narrative, ENHYPHEN expresses his feelings of importance and gratitude for ENGENE (ENGENE.fandom name), whom he met for the first time after the pandemic, and his longing to connect with his beloved, ENGENE, whom he met again.
Meanwhile, N-Hyphen will be appearing on ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA, one of the most popular morning TV programs in the U.S., on April 24 (local time) to perform live in a U.S. broadcast studio for the first time since its debut.
