BTS's V, Min Hee-jin and solo work "Shivering but happy"
BTS V teamed up with ADOR's executive producer Min Hee-jin to release his first solo album.
According to Big Hit Music on Aug. 2, V is currently working on his first solo album.
At V's suggestion, New Jeans executive producer Min Hee-jin will oversee the entire production of this album, including music, choreography, design, and promotion.
Min Hee-jin is the CEO and executive producer of ADOR and due to the success of NewJeans, he is now considered one of the most influential figures in K-pop and the Korean entertainment industry.
Producer Min Hee-jin said, "I got an offer at the end of last year.
At first, I was hesitant due to my schedule, but I was intrigued by V's attitude, passion, and voice, which I didn't know much about.
I prepared a song that reflected V's tastes, but at the same time I wanted to propose.
Instead of focusing on the familiar style, we focused on the music you want to play, the music you can digest well.
I've been busy, but I think I have some interesting work to do."
"I'm nervous, but I'm happy," V said of the release of his solo album.
He said, "It's an album that stays true to my tastes.
There will be many highlights," he said, adding, "We prepared with the hope that the ARMY people will be happy, so I hope you will look forward to it.
It reveals a new side of V as a solo artist, which sets him apart from BTS's V."
Through his solo songs "Stigma", "Singularity" and "Inner Child", V is praised for enriching the music with his distinctive husky yet gentle voice.
V, who has written songwriting for "Four O'CLOCK", "Scenery", "Winter Bear", "Blue & Grey" and "Snow Flower", "Even if I die, it is you" (drama "Farang" OST), "Sweet Night" (drama "Itaewon Class" OST) and "Christmas Tree" (drama "That Year We Are" OST), have also participated in drama OST such as.
The third song, "Love me again", whose music video was released on August 10, is an R&B song that makes use of V's dreamy voice.
The video was shot in a cave on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
The mystical atmosphere of the cave and V's bass voice combine to create a unique mood.
The camera focused on V singing the song, and as he transformed into a beautiful blonde boy, he filled the screen with only his eyes and emotional expression.
The music video for "Love Me Again" was staged like a live session with minimal lighting, settings and transitions.
Thanks to a simple and sophisticated composition, the focus is on the "essence" of V's face, music and voice.
In between, there are scenes that seem to have been shot with an old video camera, and the sadness that comes from it maximizes the song's emotion of longing for a love that has passed.
Meanwhile, V will release the music video for another song "Rainy Days" on August 11 at 1 pm.
On the same day, the song and song "Love Me Again" will also be released.
"Layover" will be officially released next month at 8 p.m.
His first solo album, Layover, includes a total of six songs and bonus tracks, including "Rainy Days," "Blue," "Love Me Again," "Slow Dancing," and "Forus."
In addition to this album, which has received a tremendous response from the pre-sale period, we would like to look forward to the future music activities of individual BTS members.
